Call for Papers for Special Track on Music Therapy, Technology, Embodied Cognition and Rehabilitation: Exploring New Frontiers
Scope
This special track invites submissions that explore the intersection between Music Therapy, Technology, Rehabilitation and Embodied Cognition as well as the use of Music Therapy in more traditional ways. We welcome papers that investigate how technology can be used to enhance Music Therapy practices, particularly in the context of Telehealth, Neurotechnology, and the philosophy of the body.
TopThis special track invites submissions that explore the intersection between Music Therapy, Technology, Rehabilitation and Embodied Cognition as well as the use of Music Therapy in more traditional ways. We welcome papers that investigate how musical technology can be used to enhance Music Therapy practices, particularly in the context of Telehealth, Neurotechnology, and the Embodied Cognition. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to the use of music technology and Virtual Reality to support Music Therapy interventions, and/or the rehabilitation process in the recovery of individuals with various disabilities, injuries or illnesses; the role of Embodied Cognition in Music Therapy practice, and the ethical considerations involved in integrating technology into Music Therapy.
Additionally, we welcome submissions that explore the use of Embodied Therapy and the application of Music Therapy in a more traditional sense, such as in group settings or one-to-one sessions. We encourage submissions from scholars, researchers, and practitioners
working in Music Therapy, Neurotechnology, Digital Musical Instruments and related fields.

Paper submission
Papers should be submitted through EAI ‘Confy+‘ system, and have to comply with the Springer format (see Author’s kit section).
- Regular papers should be up to 12-15+ pages in length.
- Short papers should be 6-11 pages in length.
All conference papers undergo a thorough peer review process prior to the final decision and publication. This process is facilitated by experts in the Technical Program Committee during a dedicated conference period. Standard peer review is enhanced by EAI Community Review which allows EAI members to bid to review specific papers. All review assignments are ultimately decided by the responsible Technical Program Committee Members while the Technical Program Committee Chair is responsible for the final acceptance selection.
