Workshop Session: Modelling and Creating New Interactive Dialogues in Interactive Art

Modelling and Creating New Interactive Dialogues in Interactive Art

As part of our ongoing research, we have developed a novel modelling tool for dissecting, visualising, and discovering diverse forms of interaction (https://danxxxu.github.io/relational-model/ ). In this workshop, you will gain hands-on experience with the tool to model existing interactive artworks and create new interactive dialogues that do not yet exist. Through this collective effort, we hope to introduce fresh perspectives on creating interactive experiences and evaluate how the tool can aid in the analysis and creation of interactive dialogues.

Before the workshop, you will receive a briefing document and tutorial to help you get familiar with the tool. We will also invite you to contribute by modelling one artwork of your choice using the tool. During the workshop, we will collectively reflect on these contributions and imagine and create new interactive dialogues based on the insights gained. We plan to collaboratively document the workshop’s outcomes in a publication for wider dissemination

Whether you’re an experienced creator or simply curious about interactive art, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore and engage in conversations about interaction and interactive art.
