Scope and Objectives
Digital technologies continue to reshape both the arts and education—and are transforming the ways in which they interact. Generative AI assists in music composition, VR environments enable immersive dance experiences, game mechanisms transform educational content into engaging adventures, and collaborative digital platforms are opening new avenues for creative expression and co-creation. At the same time, digital technologies raise critical questions about the nature of collaboration, identity development, and social connection in educational settings.
This special track explores how interactive digital technologies influence affective and social dimensions of artistic and arts-based education. How does AI shape students’ self-perception, creativity, and social interaction? In what ways do digital platforms enhance or hinder synchronicity in collaborative music-making, theater performance, and dance? Can VR environments foster deeper social bonds and reduce isolation among students, or do they risk mechanizing creative processes? And what role do aesthetic experience and artistic expression play in digitalized educational contexts?
By bringing together theoretical perspectives, empirical research, and innovative projects, this track aims to critically examine the role of arts and technology in shaping the future of education. We invite contributions that explore these themes through interdisciplinary lenses, addressing both opportunities and challenges in digitally enriched artistic and arts-based education.
