About the HWU Dubai Campus
As the first British university to set up a campus in Dubai in 2005, Heriot-Watt University Dubai has established itself as a leader in the higher education market in the UAE. Opened in 2021, the futuristic Heriot-Watt University Dubai Campus is located in the Dubai Knowledge Park, adjacent to the Dubai Media City as well as the Dubai Internet City and boasts excellent transport links such as the Dubai Metro and Tramway.
How to Reach:
• Metro: Use the Red Line to reach Dubai Internet City station. The HWU Campus is a short walk (approx. 15min) or taxi ride from the station.
• Dubai Tram (only from Al Sufouh/Dubai Marina/Jumeirah Beach Residence/JLT) areas: Use the tram in the Al Sufouh direction, stopping at Knowledge Village station
• Buses: Line 84 from Dubai Marina/Jumeirah Beach Residence areas, stopping at Schlumberger station
• Taxis/Careem/Uber/Bolt: Mention “Heriot-Watt University, Knowledge Park” to drivers.
• Parking: Available within Dubai Knowledge Park and basement of HWU Building, with parking fees.
Payment:
• Purchase a NOL Card, available at metro stations to access the metro, tram and buses. Please note that you must tap the NOL Card every time you go in or out of the station/vehicle. The average cost of a trip is 5 AED.
• Taxis accept cash or credit/debit card payment.

Transportation options
There are two main bus stops in the center. The first bus stop is right next to Astoria Capsis Hotel. There are also other suggested hotels that are quite close to the bus stops. The route takes about 40 minutes by bus (heading ITE or PAGNI) and the ticket costs 1,50 € (blue ticket). Ticket vending machines are located next to most bus stations in the centre but you can also buy from most kiosks around the city. Please keep in mind that city traffic may affect departure and arrival times. In addition, you can get a taxi which takes no more than 20 minutes, depending on the traffic, and costs approximately 12 € from Eleftherias Square, plus €2 for call service.
