Getting to Bratislava from the airports
From Vienna Airport (VIE)

Vienna Airport is also very convenient for reaching Bratislava.
Option 1: Direct bus to Bratislava (recommended)
The easiest option is the Slovak Lines/ FlixBus/ RegioJet direct bus from Vienna Airport (Schwechat) to Bratislava.
- Go to the bus area at Vienna Airport.
- Take a bus to Bratislava.
- You can get off at Nivy Bus Station, or Most SNP, depending on your destination.
- The journey to Bratislava is generally around 45–70 minutes, depending on the destination and service. Slovak Lines operates direct services between Vienna Airport and Bratislava.
- At Vienna Airport, Slovak Lines uses platform 04, directly in front of the departure hall.
This is usually the simplest choice because there is no need to travel into Vienna first or change trains.
Option 2: Train via Vienna
You can also take a train from Vienna Airport to Vienna and then continue to Bratislava, but this normally involves a change and is less convenient than the direct bus.
For most visitors arriving at Vienna Airport, we would recommend:
Vienna Airport → direct Slovak Lines bus → Bratislava Nivy / Most SNP
From Bratislava Airport (BTS)

Bratislava Airport is relatively close to the city centre, and public transport is the easiest option.
Option 1: Public bus
- Exit the terminal and follow the signs for Public Transport / MHD.
- Take bus 61 in the direction of Hlavná stanica (Main Railway Station). The airport is on line 61’s route.
- The journey to Bratislava Main Railway Station takes roughly 25 minutes, depending on traffic.
- From the Main Railway Station, you can continue by tram, bus, taxi, or walk depending on your final destination.
- If you are staying in central Bratislava, another convenient option is to take a taxi/Bolt directly from the airport.
Option 2: Direct bus to Nivy
Slovak Lines operates a direct connection between Bratislava Airport and Nivy Bus Station, with the journey taking about 15 minutes.
Option 3: Taxi
If your accommodation is in the Old Town, a taxi/ Bolt/ Uber may be the simplest option, especially if you have luggage.
How to Get to the Conference Venue
The conference venue is Crowne Plaza Bratislava, Hodžovo námestie 2, Bratislava.
From Bratislava Nivy Bus Station
By public transport:
- Take trolleybus 212 from Nivy Bus Station.
- Get off at Hodžovo námestie.
- The hotel is located directly at the square.

From Most SNP
The venue is approximately a 15-minute walk from Most SNP.

From Einsteinova Street
By public transport:
- Take bus 88 to Aupark.
- At Aupark, change to bus 93 towards Hodžovo námestie.
- Get off at Hodžovo námestie. The hotel is directly at the square.

Public Transport Tickets
Before boarding a bus, trolleybus or tram, make sure you have a valid ticket.
Tickets can be purchased:
- at ticket machines at selected stops;
- through the IDS BK mobile app.
Paper tickets must be validated immediately after boarding.
