Esbjerg

Esbjerg is a seaport on the west coast of the Jutland peninsula in southwest Denmark. With a population of around seventy thousand, Esbjerg is the fifth largest city in Denmark.

Esbjerg's most popular landmark is the 'Men at Sea', a monument of four 9 metre tall white males, located to the north of Esbjerg by Sædding Beach. The sculpture was designed by Svend Wiig Hansen and installed on 28 October 1995. The monument can be seen by ferry leaving or entering Esbjerg.

Denmark is a Scandinavian country in Northern Europe and a member of the European Union. Its currency is the Danish Krone (DKK).

Conference venue

The 2nd International ICST Conference on Arts and Technology will be held at the Esbjerg campus of Aalborg University.

The opening of the new Aalborg University Center of Design, Learning & innovation will coincide with the event. This will feature invited international luminaries.
