accepted authors who are unable to attend the event in person will be given the option to present remotely.
Scope
The ArtsIT conference brings together a wide array of cross-/inter-/trans-
Campinas is a Brazilian municipality in the interior of São Paulo State, southeast region of Brazil and a few km from the Tropic of Capricorn that cross São Paulo State. It is the first Brazilian city to become a metropolis without being a capital, exerting significant national influence. The city hosts the State University of Campinas – Unicamp – that has been ranked among the top five universities in Latin America and is considered the best university in the region by the British institute Times Higher Education.
In only 51 years of existence, this university has achieved international recognition by fulfilling its mission of building and disseminating knowledge and innovation.
Its complex structure, made up of 6 campuses, has more than 2,000 teachers, more than 8,000 staff and more than 36,000 students. In addition to the health sector – with three hospitals serving the community- its laboratories have national and international partnerships, including high-tech centres established in the region.
The Interdisciplinary Nucleus of Sound Studies (NICS), formed in 1983, has as its main objective to research different manifestations that have sound, in all its aspects and applications, as a source of informational, cognitive and creative content. This year the Conference is hosted by NICS in his 40th anniversary.
The nucleus was born for the vocation in interdisciplinary research, addressing innovative themes for the time that continue to be updated, among them the sound pollution, analysis of Sounds of Brazilian forests, their fauna and native populations phonetics, electronic music, and ethnomusicological records.

All registered papers will be submitted for publishing by Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library: ArtsIT Conference Proceedings.

Paper submission
Papers should be submitted through EAI ‘Confy+‘ system, and have to comply with the Springer format (see Author’s kit section).
- Regular papers should be up to 12-15+ pages in length.
- Short papers should be 6-11 pages in length.
All conference papers undergo a thorough peer review process prior to the final decision and publication. This process is facilitated by experts in the Technical Program Committee during a dedicated conference period. Standard peer review is enhanced by EAI Community Review which allows EAI members to bid to review specific papers. All review assignments are ultimately decided by the responsible Technical Program Committee Members while the Technical Program Committee Chair is responsible for the final acceptance selection.
